On Sunday 28th , a team of Football Legends defeated a  legendary and impossible Atlético de Madrid in Calderón   (5-4). Atlético was impossible  because the team was a patchwork of players from different epochs. Not bad for all those oldy goldies.

It was the closing match. Atlético supporters roared at times. Some of them took their seats home: they were allowed to.

Since 1966: all those Sundays.

Meanwhile, other  small, modest teams were  laboriously working their way up to the legend . Cultural Leonesa was one of them. On the same Sunday, they made it to Second Division, after 42 years!

All kinds of legends: the same effort, places are limited, glory is scarce.
